The best time to replace windows in Las Vegas.
Fall and winter are the smoothest months to install — but if your glass is already failing, the season matters far less than the bill you're paying while you wait. Here's the honest tradeoff, plus real lead times.
Check current install availability
Takes 30 seconds. A real person calls you back — usually within the hour.
The short answer
October through March is the easiest time to install windows in Las Vegas: sealants cure in their intended temperature range, the house stays comfortable with an opening briefly exposed, and crews move faster.
But we install year-round, and waiting is usually the more expensive choice. If you have single-pane or seal-failed glass heading into cooling season, every month you delay is a month of paying for heat you could have stopped at the glass.

Why cooler months install better
Window installation is a sealing job as much as a carpentry job. Backer rod, low-expansion foam, and exterior sealants all have an application temperature range, and they perform most predictably in moderate weather. In a 108° afternoon with a stucco wall reading 150°, sealant skins over faster than it should and there is less working time per opening.
Cooler months also mean your house barely notices the work. Nobody is fighting to keep the living room at 78° while a slider opening is temporarily exposed.
None of this makes summer installation bad — it makes it a job that has to be sequenced properly rather than rushed.
What each season actually looks like here
Fall (Oct - Nov)
Our best conditions of the year. Comfortable install days, sealants in their ideal range, and demand hasn't peaked — so dates come fast after your order lands.
Winter (Dec - Mar)
Still excellent. Short daylight is the only constraint on large projects, and you get the upgrade in place before cooling season starts charging you for the old glass.
Spring (Apr - Jun)
Our busiest ordering season, because this is when people remember last July. Great install weather early on, but plan for lead times at the longer end of 3-5 weeks.
Summer (Jul - Sep)
Fully workable with morning scheduling on sun-exposed elevations, opening-by-opening sequencing, and high-temperature sealants. Also when homeowners feel the payoff immediately.
How we run a summer install differently
Roughly a third of our installs happen in the hottest months. The process changes in specific, deliberate ways:
- West and south elevations scheduled for the morning, before wall temperatures spike
- One opening removed, fitted, sealed, and trimmed before the next is touched
- High-temperature-rated sealants and foam, applied within their spec range
- Interior work zones closed off so conditioned air isn't dumped outside
- Afternoon monsoon watch — we move hours rather than seal into blowing dust
- Longer crew rotation so quality doesn't slide in the last hour of a 108° day
When waiting is the wrong call
There is a version of this question that is really about convenience, and a version that is about money. If your windows are functional dual-pane units with good ratings and you simply want a nicer frame, by all means wait for October.
If you have original aluminum single-pane glass, visible fogging between panes, windows that won't latch, or one room that runs five degrees hotter than the thermostat says — waiting four months means four more months of paying a premium on every cooling bill, plus a house that stays uncomfortable in the meantime.
The practical move is to get the free assessment now regardless of season. Measurement and a written price cost you nothing, and the 3-5 week build time means an order placed today installs in the next comfortable stretch anyway.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best time of year to replace windows in Las Vegas?+
October through March is the easiest window. Daytime temperatures let sealants and foams cure in their intended range, the house stays comfortable with openings temporarily exposed, and installers work faster in 65° than in 108°. That said, we install year-round and summer installs go fine with the right sequencing.
Can windows be replaced in the middle of a Las Vegas summer?+
Yes. We work opening by opening rather than removing everything at once, we schedule sun-exposed elevations for the morning, and we use sealants rated for high-temperature application. A summer install takes a bit longer per opening, not days longer.
Should I wait until winter if my windows are single-pane?+
Usually no. If you are heading into or sitting in cooling season with single-pane or seal-failed glass, waiting means paying the higher power bill for the months you wait. The seasonal advantage is measured in convenience; the cost of waiting is measured on your bill.
Are window prices lower in the off season?+
Manufacturer pricing does not swing much by season, and we do not inflate summer pricing. What does change is scheduling: shoulder seasons have more crew availability, so install dates come sooner after your order arrives.
How long is the lead time from signing to install?+
Windows are built to order, so plan on roughly 3-5 weeks from measurement to install day, plus HOA review where a community requires it. Spring and early summer are our busiest ordering months, so lead times sit at the longer end then.
Will my house be open to the weather during the install?+
Only one opening at a time. We remove, fit, seal, and trim each unit before moving to the next, so there is never a wall of open holes. Most homes are finished in a single day.
Does the season affect the tax credit?+
The federal energy-efficient home improvement credit is claimed for the tax year the work is completed and placed in service, and it has an annual cap for windows. Installing in December versus January can therefore land in different tax years — worth a conversation with your tax preparer if you are phasing a large project.
Is monsoon season a problem for installs?+
Late-summer storms can push an afternoon, and we would rather move a few hours than seal an opening in blowing dust or rain. We watch the forecast and reschedule proactively instead of rushing a compromised install.
